READ-A-THON - It Can’t Happen Here by Sinclair Lewis Join Brookline Booksmith for an ALL-NIGHT public reading (or drop by anytime throughout) of It Can’t Happen Here, Sinclair Lewis’s 1930s satire of America ruled by a dictator. They’re partnering with Aforementioned Productions and dozens of guest readers to bring this political classic to life.

An Evening with Gene-Luen-Yang at Coolidge Theatre

Famed graphic novelist and National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature (and MacArthur Fellow) Gene Luen Yang will be visiting Brookline and speaking at the Coolidge Corner Theatre about reading, comics, and getting outside your comfort zone.  He will be discussing "Reading Without Walls" - a new challenge for young readers designed to test their limits and expand their horizons.
